In the Desert

With a total of 40 hectares, our vines occupy various plots located next to the Natural Park of the Bardenas Reales of Navarra, in the north of Spain, sharing the same terrain and climate as this desert area-its shallow, clay-traced soil, minimal water, and irregular, somewhat minimal rainfall (350 l/m2 per year), as well as extreme contrasts in temperature between day and night (±15º). Due to these singular geoclimatic conditions, unique in Navarra, our vines offers a lower production of small grapes that have a high concentration and a perfect equilibrium. As well, the grapes are cultivated in a natural manner, without pesticides, insecticides, or chemical fertilizers that wear out the soil. A great wine begins at the vine.

Nuestras viñas, en el desierto

Con un total de 40 hectáreas, nuestras viñas se reparten entre diferentes parcelas ubicadas junto al Parque Natural de las Bardenas Reales de Navarra, compartiendo así­ tipo de terreno y clima con este extraordinario desierto (el mayor de Europa): suelo arcilloso-calcáreo poco profundo y de escaso contenido húmico, irregulares y reducidas precipitaciones (350 l/m2 año) y fuertes contrastes de temperaturas entre el día y la noche (±15º). Debido a estas singulares condiciones geoclimáticas, únicas en Navarra, nuestras viñas ofrecen una producción de bajo rendimiento y unos granos muy menudos, de alta concentración y con un equilibrio perfecto. Además, cultivamos nuestras viñas de forma natural, es decir, sin usar pesticidas, insecticidas o abonos químicos, que fatigan el suelo. Un buen vino empieza a elaborarse en la viña.
